Q: What is the title of your book?
A: THE COCKFIGHT

Q: Why did you choose this title?
A: An analogy about mistreatment of people caught in the justice system.

Q: What’s the book about?
A: Injustice, Redemption, a Rooster and a Love Story.

Q: Why did you write this book?
A: A Kentucky Crime Lab mishandling DNA Evidence, a Teacher loses everything.

Q: Why do you write, generally?
A: It is in my blood.

Q: Where/how do you write?
A: Asheville, North Carolina. Federal & State Criminal Defense Attorney.

Q: What/who do you read?
A: Steinbeck, Hemingway, Harper Lee.

Q: Why do you read?
A: To broaden my perspective.

Q: Where/when you do read?
A: Every chance I get.

Q: What are your politics/values?
A: I have defended the indigent and poor my entire career.

Q: Why might someone with oppositional politics/values enjoy your book? If
they wouldn’t, do you regret that?
A: No, my book transcends political values.

Q: Describe the ideal reader of your book.
A: Anyone who is concerned about injustice and a broken system.

Q: How do you relax?
A: By drinking coffee, 4-5 cups a day.

Q: Are we alone in the universe?
A: My wife is an alien, I love her madly.

Bio:
Frank Abrams is a criminal defense attorney in both North Carolina and Florida. He has practiced federal and state criminal law during his entire 38-year career. He has appeared on public radio and Court TV. He is also an inventor, having a patent on a new type of banjo, and has been in the news for finding a tintype picture of Billy The Kid along with Pat Garrett, the man who killed him.
