The Triumph of the Now represents the pinnacle of autobiographic literary lifestyle blogging. It was created by Scott Manley Hadley, who is a man who confuses people because his life doesn’t really make sense. He’s not like you, unless you’re also one of these other highly qualified millennials who also like works six jobs and is still trying to kick start a creative career waaaaay beyond the age where that’s a sensible thing to – psychologically – prioritise.

He writes poems, he sometimes raps, he writes essays and reviews and sometimes does like weird anti-comedy things. He has a dog and a long-standing history of mental illness.

If you’d like to submit a book for Scott Manley Hadley (this is me writing, I don’t know why I’m persevering with the third person) to review here, or you’d like to commission me to write something for somewhere else or even be like a talking head for something about mental health, hair loss, owning a dog or something I know less about (love/sex/politics etc), please get in touch using the form below. Likewise, if you’d like to buy, secondhand, the copy of any of the books I’ve read.

Donate To Triumph of the Now

It ain’t easy living this hard. I work and I work and I write and I write and only rarely does the writing sling me any dinero. If you like what I’m doing here, then please consider donating me a fiver or multiples thereof. The more you donate, the less time I have to spend doing other things for money and the more ice hot content I can carve out for you. I don’t expect anything to come through here, tbh, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Christ, I hope it doesn't hurt to ask. If posting this here a few times cripples my viewing figures I'll feel like a right Icarus.
