january movie round up

One of my 2025 resolutions is to watch more movies! It’s going well so far and I had a particularly good January of excellent cinema.

I’ve started a letterboxd account to track what I’m watching and what I enjoyed.

Velow is my January diary round up – as you can see I liked everything I watched, but I loved A Real Pain and Dead Poets Society and thought that the two Adrien Brody vehicles I watched – The Brutalist and Predators – were equally good, and both just as good as Nicolas Cage, Ed Harris & Sean Connery’s James Bond slash fiction bonanza The Rock.

In January I was mainly streaming via Disney+ and watching irl at the Barbican (London’s) Parent & Baby screenings. Was travelling around and back from Ontario the first two weeks (and slept on the plane) so no movies then!
