Hello. Time for this month’s regular review over at Open Pen, this time delving into the deliberately difficult novel Forbidden Line by Paul Stanbridge.

I read it in a beautiful proof copy, just smooth, blank, white, covers. Everyone who saw it commented on how pleasing an object it was. It’s odd that publishers spend so much time, effort and money on more complex designs. People love simplicity, aesthetically.
